These patterns described here are all different from those previously published in the book. None of these have previously been published. For beginners I strongly recommend starting with my book, "ThReAdTeDs: Secrets and Patterns" or the Basic Patterns (the last 3 patterns listed below on this page). Peaches pattern teaches how to make a collectible mini-bear with its sweater incorperated into the body. The sweater is worked inside out, which makes the use of the many fantasy threads available. The pattern also teaches how to make a perfect, invisible color change.

The next three patterns were my first published patterns and written to teach the basics of making crochet bears. They teach you everything you need to know to become a future thread bear artist. I have designed them so that all patterns are interchangeable with each other. Just think of all the possibilities!
BASIC PATTERN 3
Basic Pattern 3 $12.50 US
ThReAdTeDs™ Basic Pattern 3 makes three Bear Head Pins. This pattern, offers a pattern for a head with a separate muzzle, a head with muzzle already attached in one piece, and an open-mouth bear head. It also includes a pattern for a ruffled collar. The little bear heads crafted from this pattern make wonderful pins, but by using each head in combination with bodies described in ThReAdTeDs™ Basic Pattern 1 and 2, the crocheter is able to produce a greater variety of thread bears. This pattern come with color step-by-step instructions and a "ThReAdTeDs™ FACES and FEATURES" tip sheet with extra information (such as how to attach eyes and how to adjust facial features so your bear has just the look you are searching for).
